Apples from the Garden of Eden

The British Friends of Haifa University in partnership with Christie's, Chopard, Guerlain and Moët Chandon, held a luxury brands charity auction at the Royal Automobile Club.

Under the charismatic hammer of Christie's International Director of Auctioneering, Mr Hugh Edmeades, the auction included unique items by exclusive luxury brands: Annoushka, Bull & Stein, D.L. & Co, Dubey & Schaldenbrand, Edelberg, Ercuis, Fazzino, Jaeger LeCoultre, Lalique, Marc Jacobs, McQueens, Michal Shalev for Ritzenhoff, Pierre Hermé, Raynaud, Ron Arad, Sonia Rykiel, Tamara Comolli, Temperley, Thierry Vidé and Van Laack.

Each brand created a specially-designed apple, which was accompanied by a beautiful present. All the pieces were donated by the designers completely free of charge, as was the magnificent venue.

The evening, coordinated by Bianca Simon, was attended by a 150-strong audience and raised funds for the Laboratory for Breast Cancer Dormancy Research at the University of Haifa.
