PETER KADAS
TRUSTEE
Peter is senior advisor at an investment advisory firm and serves as Director of various companies such as New World Resources, one of Europe’s leading mining companies and RPG Real Estate. He and his wife Gyongyver received an honorary doctorate from the University of Haifa in 2016 for their significant contribution to the advancement of higher education in Israel and beyond. Peter established the Kadas Green Roofs Ecology Research Centre at the University and the Kadas – Isaacs Endowment Fund for Mediterranean Sea Research.

Efrat is a qualified solicitor and has a PhD in International Relations, specialising in Israeli foreign policy towards Iran. She is the granddaughter of Meir Ezri, Founder of the Ezri Centre for Iran and Persian Gulf Studies at the University of Haifa. Efrat and her mother sit on the board of this nationally important research centre.
PROF SIR WALTER BODMER
TRUSTEE
Walter is one of the world’s leading geneticists and Head of the Cancer and Immunogenetics Laboratory at the University of Oxford. He was one of the pioneers of the human genome project and a key figure in establishing the Institute of Evolution at the University of Haifa. In 2015 he received an honorary doctorate from the University of Haifa for his significant scientific contributions.
PROF SIR SIMON BARON-COHEN
TRUSTEE
Simon is a Professor of Developmental Psychopathology at the University of Cambridge and Fellow at Trinity College, Cambridge. He is Director of Cambridge’s Autism Research Centre and of Cambridge Lifespan Asperger Syndrome Service. He authored many books and has been awarded prestigious prizes for his research into autism. Simon has also supported collaborative research with the University of Haifa’s Psychology Department.
MR RICHARD HATTER
TRUSTEE
Richard is Chair of the Maurice Hatter Foundation, established by his father whose support of the University goes back decades. Richard is a Partner at property developers Epsilon, responsible for corporate development and new business. Richard became a Trustee of UHUK in 2022.
